Drama Ministry

Saint Luke’s drama ministry, active and strong since 1976, is here to enrich, enhance, enlighten, and engage! That is:

  • Enrich – worship services and program
  • Enhance – festivals and special events
  • Enlighten and Entertain – the community through the performing arts
  • Engage – the faith community in such activities

Annual drama opportunities include such forms of proclamation as chancel drams, dramatic readings on Passion Sunday, Sunday School plays, and the like.

Tent Troupe

, a major facet of Saint Luke’s drama ministry for many years has been America’s only traveling summer tent theater.

For more than 40 years this unique ministry for and by high school students has presented shows for children and adults in 29 states and Canada. Look for this unique ministry in the summer of 2013! Click on Tent Troupe for Performance Schedule.

Bethlehem Marketplace

, happening every two years, is a powerful walk-through drama inviting families and individuals to literally walk crooked streets of Bethlehem. Guests are invited to stroll “the streets” for a special glimpse into the life at the time of Jesus’ birth. Admission is a canned good for the Saint Luke Food Pantry.

Drama Ministry works closely with the Departments of Music, and Youth and Family Ministries. Watch the calendar for Drama Ministry opportunities throughout the year.
